Jennifer Shinkai is a seasoned leadership and inclusion coach with over 25 years of experience in Japan. Originally from the UK, she holds an MA in English Language and Literature from Oxford University and has held senior roles across Learning and Development, Sales Operations, Marketing, and Business Strategy.
Jennifer specializes in helping executives integrate ikigai—the Japanese concept of purpose—into their leadership, aligning personal values with professional roles for greater engagement and effectiveness. As an ORSC (Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching) trained coach, she offers 1:1 and group coaching, guiding leadership teams to enhance communication, collaboration, and adaptability.
A certified Points of You® Master and #IAmRemarkable Silver Tier facilitator, Jennifer’s coaching builds resilient, inclusive teams, particularly in times of change. Her corporate experience includes scaling a 25-person Tokyo office to become a subsidiary of an 800-person listed company operating across seven countries in Asia-Pacific.
Outside of corporate work, Jennifer is an artist focused on sustainable textile art and has published three illustrated children’s books. She also hosts the popular podcast and YouTube channel "Ikigai with Jennifer Shinkai" and founded Make March Matter, a 400+ member community for small business owners.
